Coach Whelan was a D1 lacrosse player at Virginia Tech, playing midfield & attack. She was the 2nd Assistant Coach at Virginia Tech, head varsity high school coach at Herndon High School, Academy of the Holy Cross, National Cathedral School and coached club for Future Elite. Currently she is coaching youth lacrosse for Herndon-Reston Youth Lacrosse and two club teams for Yellow Jackets Mid Atlantic.

Coach Counts spent 14 years coaching at Madison High School. As a head coach, she led the team to win the Liberty District Championships in 2011-15, Regional Championships and State Championships in 2011 and 2013. She was named NFHS National Coach of the Year, All-Met Coach of the Year and State Coach of the Year in 2013. She attended Virginia Tech and played there. She holds a masters degree in counseling and a masters degree in special education. 

Coach Whelan is the founder and owner of Overtime Athletics, a nationwide youth sports organization. He spent 13 years as a head basketball coach at the high school level and also coached at the collegiate level. In addition, he served as a women’s lacrosse coach in college for three years.
